For the longest time now, I've had this draft I titled, "Save For Later" just sitting around, waiting for the appropriate time to use for a future BlermonTM (blog-sermon).
I loved "Save For Later."
I just loved knowing it was there. It gave me great comfort knowing that if all else failed, and I just didn't know what to BleachTM (blog-preach) on some day, I could pull up my good 'ole, mostly written 'Save For Later' BlermonTM, shine it up and be good for the day.
It was BlermonTM insurance. And when you BleachTM (blog-preach) a semi-daily (really daily) BlermonTM like I do, BlermonTM insurance let's you sleep at night.
Well, as things go, today happened to be "that day". For the life of me, I just could not think of what to write about. No matter what I tried, nothing came to mind, nothing seemed right. I was starting to panic when it hit me; "I can use the 'Save For Later' BlermonTM! Perfect! I'm saved!"
So I popped over to where I had it stored and happily clicked it open. It felt so good to know that within a few minutes, I'd have my BlermonTM for the day.
Then I saw it. The blank page.
Yes. Blank. Nothing else. Except for the title on top, "Save For Later."
That was it. There was no partially award-winning BlermonTM beginnings there, no mostly worked out witty paragraphs, no cool BlermonTM illustrations. There weren't even any scriptures thrown down as a BlermonTM starter.
For whatever reason, I had many weeks ago, decided that I should open up a page, title it, "Save For Later" and then store it away.
This is, what we BleachersTM (blog-preachers) like to call: worthless.
It is no help whatsoever, to open up a blank page, slap some lame titles on them and then store them for later. At best, this saved me around 4 seconds today.
Thank-you, Me. Thank-me so very me-much for the me-help. Or to put it more clearly...
THANKS FOR NOTHING 'SAVE FOR LATER' BLERMONTM!!! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW!? HOW IN THE WORLD SHOULD I FILL UP A WHOLE BLERMONTM WITH NO IDEAS AND NOTHING ON THIS PAGE? ANSWER ME THAT! ANSWER ME!!
Hold on. I think something wonderful has just happened. Believe it or not, I think I just did it.
Insert scripture here...
"The Lord works in mysterious ways."
Whew.
As together we stand and sing.
